David Dale House, was named after David Dale (1739-1806), founder of the New Lanark Mills. Dale, as industrialist, banker philanthropist and entrepreneur, was one of Scotland’s foremost citizens in the 18th century. The David Dale building is an exciting opportunity for any business to locate in a first class location.
Scotland’s largest population centre with nearly 1 million people, is undergoing massive restoration and development in time for the commonwealth games in 2014, less than a mile away from us. Glasgow attracts a highly educated workforce, who are lured by the 4 universities and remain after they have become qualified. The city is a major centre for academic research, and has over 7500 under-graduate students living here at any one time.
The city has a rich history, starting life as a fishing village in mediaeval times, and growing into the main industrial centre for ship building in the British Isles at the turn of the 20th century. For any business, transport routes are extremely important: Glasgow is accessed by the M8 motorway from Edinburgh and the east, M74 from Carlisle and England to the south and the M80 to the North and Stirling.
